InterLibrary Loan (ILL)

BOOKS

  1. EZ-Borrow Borrowing books from other libraries is made easy by using this tool.  EZ-Borrow books are usually received within 2-3 days.

  2. Unusual Interlibrary Loans --  Use this method if your book is not available via EZ-Borrow. Allow 10 business days for processing your request.  Click here for the form.

  3. Intralibrary Loan -- Need a book from another Eastern University Library? Download and printout this form. Fill it out with the required information and hand in to the Reference Desk to begin the process. Distant learners may email the Reference Desk (reference1777@eastern.edu) for assistance.

Journal Articles

  1. Rapid ILL Receive journal articles (sent to your email) usually within 48 hours.  Your request requires the journal's ISSN number (it can be found at OCLC's First Search site). Rapid is only used to request an article not available in the Library or the Library's databases.  Please check the A to Z Journal List before submitting a request. Please contact a librarian if you have any questions regarding your request.

  2. Unusual Interlibrary Loans --  Use this method if Rapid does not fulfill your request. Allow 10 business days for processing your interlibrary request. Click here for the form. Please check the A to Z Journal list before submitting a request.

Remember

  • EZ-Borrow books can often be received in 48 hours.
  • Rapid ILL Articles can often be received in 48 hours. 
  • Allow ten business days for the processing of any Standard Interlibrary  Loan request.
  • Requests for Class Textbooks will not be processed!
