COMMUNITY/UNIVERSITY ORCHESTRA NOW FORMING
Musicians Invited to Audition
St. Davids, PA, September 10, 2009: Dr. David Bryant of the Eastern University Music Department invites musicians in the community to join Eastern's students and faculty in a new orchestra being formed. This orchestra offers students and professionals the opportunity to study and perform standards and emerging orchestra literature in a friendly atmosphere. It seeks to create bridges between Eastern University and the residents of St. Davids and surrounding communities.
The orchestra will continue the relationship with David Kim, concertmaster of the Philadelphia Orchestra, as the Artist in Residence at Eastern University. Dr. Bryant says, "Join us to build bonds of community while enriching lives through the eternal gift of music."
