The Julia Fowler Planetarium

at Eastern University:

Astronaut

We will be presenting Astronaut in late September/October. Thank you for coming to the presentations last year and we hope you will join us again soon.

The exploration of space is the greatest endeavor that humankind has ever undertaken. What does it take to be part of this incredible journey? What does it take to become an astronaut? Astronaut, the latest immersive planetarium show to be created by the National Space Centre, takes you from Earth into space... and beyond.

Experience a rocket launch from inside the body of an astronaut. Explore the amazing worlds of inner and outer space, from floating around the International Space Station to maneuvering through microscopic regions of the human body. Discover the perils that lurk in space as we subject 'Chad', our test astronaut, to everything that space has to throw at him.

Presented in stunning high-definition 360-degree fulldome video and explosive surround sound, ASTRONAUT is an experience like nothing on Earth.

The new Julia Fowler Planetarium at Eastern University is proud to present Astronaut. This is the fifth public planetarium presentation since the installation of Eastern's new Spitz SciDome fulldome digital projector in November 2006, one of only 35 such installations in the world.  Eastern's planetarium has served the community since 1972 with public shows, most notably its perennial favorite Star of Bethlehem, as well as catering to numerous public and private groups.

The 20-minute Astronaut program will be preceded by a 25-minute live Sky Tonight presentation.

Tickets are $5.00 per person by reservation only.

The Julia Fowler Planetarium is located on the 3rd floor in McInnis Learning Center.

Reservations can be made by calling 610-341-1390 or e-mailing planet@eastern.edu.

Please leave your name and how many seats you wish to reserve, payment not necessary until you arrive at the show.
