Student CCD Gallery : M13

M13, an immense bright globular cluster, can actually be seen with the naked eye in very clear skies. It is one of the closest clusters to earth at a distance of 25,000 light years. Several hundred thousand stars are packed tightly in the tight core in this very old object.
