Several eastern.edu users have complained that when they go to eastern.edu, they get a 'page not found' error. Hitting Refresh then typically brings up our home page. This is a real issue that happens frequently.

This page was created with very basic html to see how it responds in comparison to the eastern.edu default page that has a lot of components to it. The idea is to see if the problem we are having resides within our default page, or with any page regardless of its contents. Please consider making this the default home page in your browser for a while. If this page ever causes you to have to it Refresh in order to see it, then please send an email to Mark Hoffman (hoffman@eastern.edu) to alert me to the fact that this page appears to have the same problem. If after a while you see that this page loads consistently without a problem, then please let me know this as well.
